Apartment Review for 1500 Locust - Philadelphia, PA

I have lived here for 2 years and wished I had originally moved in elsewhere. While the location is great, there are many problems with the management/building. I recently returned from vacation to find my bathroom floor SOAKED in water, with all my bathroom rugs moldy and stale. I notified maintenance (who are only here between 9 AM and 5 PM though I've hardly ever seen them come in the morning). Since the initial call, this has happened 3 additional times, the last time with a waterfall coming down from my vent system (filled 2 large trash cans with water in 10 minutes). Apparently there was a plumbing problem in the unit above me. I'm still waiting for them to fix it (over 2 weeks from the initial leak). Management is not very responsive either. The elevators are constantly breaking and are slow, and it's very noisy in this area. Fire alarms are frequent. If it weren't for the fact that I already have all my stuff here and don't want to move just for a 1 year period, I would definitely be living elsewhere. The doormen are great though! Hope this helps! BOTTOM LINE- look elsewhere. This place is too expensive to be getting crappy service.
