Apartment Review for The Roosevelt - Philadelphia, PA

Moved into this apartment approximately 2 months ago and have had several issues with the facility, maintenance, and staff. Two weeks ago our ceiling started to leak and I came home to find plaster from the ceiling had fallen on my computer and water had dripped into the internet router. We informed the staff and they said it was "non-emergent", the issue was likely due to a plumbing problem that was just fixed, and did not bother to send anyone to look at it until the following Monday, at which point they sent their 'assistant' maintenance man said they were busy working on other apartments for rent and that they would get to it when they could. One week later, new leaks developed in another part of the ceiling and more plaster fell and we contacted the office again, saying WE think it is coming from air conditioner the floor above us. Now 2 weeks later, they came back again without giving us 24 hour notice to look at it and now said they would contact the contractors to fix the ceiling. During this whole period we have not been able to use 1/3 of our living room for fear that the ceiling will leak again on our electronics and more plaster will fall. When I contacted the office again to get specific information on what the contractors said and when exactly it will be fixed, I got a wrap around message that said it had taken a long time because THEY had to figure out it came from the air conditioner above us and then didn't address the issue of when exactly it was to be fixed. In our correspondence with the staff, in my opinion, the tone has been somewhat that they are 'bothered' to answer questions or condescending to try to 'explain' to us "how repairs work" in our requests to know after 2 weeks when the ceiling is actually be fixed. Moved into this apartment given its location and as previous reviews saying the maintenance had improved, but overall have been extremely dissatisfied with the facility as it is quite run down, the staff have not been very helpful or courteous, and the maintenance time has been unacceptable for what has been a very inconvenient issue. I wish I had nicer things to say about this place, but overall, my experience has been terrible and I would not recommend this apartment building to anyone.
